Deborah Haisch, M.D.

Deborah Haisch is an instructor in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and spends most of her clinical time in the intensive care unit. Over the past decade, she has worked on health systems assessments in Ghana and Rwanda, focused primarily on emergency care.

During her fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center, she began providing procedural and clinical support for the team at Tikur Anbessa Specialized Hospital, as well as leading efforts to expand the division’s research capacity, particularly in the intensive care unit. Her work has evolved from health systems assessments to critical care epidemiology and outcomes, as well as illness severity scoring.
